This thesis was in the form of a website that had all component parts (images, text, file structure) packaged and placed on a CD-ROM. To navigate the website locally: : 1 Download and unzip the zipped folder (often this can be done by simply right-clicking on the downloaded file and selecting, "unzip" or "extract" options on PCs, or simply double-clicking to open on Macs) 2 Locate the "index.html" file within the unzipped folder Ð this will draw together all component parts within the folder and present them as a whole. 3 Double click on that file to open it locally on the computer, which will then render the view of the original webpage where you can navigate between pages/sections, click on links, etc. 4 Note: Some images, links, and dynamic components (such as Java or Flash files) will no longer render within this webpage environment due to the age of the saved website, the way it was saved as a digital object, and the outdated components that make up the website. However, the main text and images, and the context of the thesis, should be clear for research purposes. This work was originally submitted to the University Library on 1 CD-ROM ; 4 3/4 in. A zip file that contains the contents of the CD-ROM available in LibraETD. If there are any further questions, please email libra@virginia.edu
