Abstract
A designer’s internet presence is the gateway to developing their professional network and brand. Content curation for social media can be revolutionary in terms of networking. Creating an online presence is key for a designer to network, showcase their original content, and develop a personal brand. This can be achieved through the active use of Instagram. This thesis explores Instagram as a means of portfolio building, networking for employment, building connections with others in the industry, and communicating concepts and ideas related to scenic design and scenic art.
