Abstract
The following document is comprised of two components, autonomous in their content yet oriented towards the same goal, an experimental re-envisioning of literary hermeneutic methodologies in light of contemporary philosophical and technological trends. "Shock Therapy" seeks to shed new light on Mrs. Dalloway's epistemological resonances by an interpretation centered around the construction of a graphical representation of the "tidal forces" that shape manifestations of subjectivity within the narrative. The following chapter, "Digitizing Perhaps," builds on the preceding methodology to both detail and illustrate the digital humanities apparatus generated during this project, which is included as a supplement to this document.
