Abstract
This study investigates teachers' curricular reasoning when adapting pacing guides for use in the secondary mathematics classroom. Through interviews and observations, I found that secondary mathematics teachers value common pacing guides. Experienced teachers often make adaptations to pacing guides provided by the district or even write their own pacing guides.
