Abstract
Achieving functional maturity in iPSC-derived neurons is an ongoing goal in the field. In order to achieve this goal, it is likely necessary to evaluate the human development of electrical activity in vivo and the factors that affect the successful wiring of neural networks. The work presented in this dissertation seeks to evaluate how altering a few of these factors via culture conditions during neuronal maturation contributes to long-term electrophysiological maturity.
