Abstract
This is a descriptive study of the guidance services in the public schools of Virginia, but it is prescriptive in that it suggests an educational program. The nature of it is twofold. First, it sought to determine present practices of guidance services in the public schools of Virginia and in selected states, and second, it sought to determine what guidance practices division superintendents, principals, and counselors, and a jury of experts in guidance considered desirable and would recommend.
