Abstract:

Discusses and describes the process of developing an testing an agency specific driver training program. The training program focuses on changing driver behaviors to facilitate safer and more eco-friendly driving habits. The program centers around the evaluation of six metrics; hard cornering; hard acceleration; hard braking; speeding; idle time; and seat belt violations. Additionally, it develops a link between the lone-star tick and the readiness of the United States Army. This is done developing the link between tick-borne illnesses, specifically the red meat allergy spread by the lone-star tick, and the effect that has on the fighting force of the US Army, specifically the abundance of red meat in field rations and the use of pesticide impregnated uniforms to combat insects.
