Abstract:
Throughout history, there have been many social and political movements to defend the equality and rights of Africans and people of African descent around the world. However, this work focuses on three important movements of the 20th century and one movement of the 21st century: the Pan-African movement, the Negritude movement, the civil rights movement in the United States, and the Black Lives Matter movement. These four movements will form the backdrop to this work within the long struggle for equality.
