Abstract:
This thesis examines the doctrine of creatio ex materia within LDS theology and proposes an environmental ethic based upon that distinctive teaching. Ex materia creation is contrasted with the more traditional teaching of creatio ex nihilo in order to explicate and illuminate this proposed ethic.
