Abstract:
The most prominent type of neural network, which employs backpropagation, has already been applied to many of the traditional problems in the field of finance such as bankruptcy prediction. The goal of this study is to determine whether or not simple backpropagation networks can be used to predict takeover targets as successfully as traditional financial models. The purpose of this project was to create and test such a network.
