Integrated Entertainment: Improving Video Streaming; Life in the Hole: How the U.S. Deals with Solitary Confinement

How does the human need for sensory stimulation manifest itself? Means of access to stimulation and the consequences of the involuntary deprivation of stimulation are considered.
How can quality of service and efficiency be improved for video streaming? With the continued proliferation of streaming services, watching TV has become scattered across many streaming services competing for your attention. Choosing what to watch, a viewer may wander through multiple streaming platforms and it can be easy to forget where the content you are looking for lives. Our app takes a title and queries each platform to see where the show is hosted and returns the results. As well as connecting these platforms, our app uses Machine Learning techniques to customize suggested shows for the user. This app will improve both the efficiency of searching for titles and the quality delivered to the customer.
In the U.S, since 2000, how have critics and defenders of solitary confinement advanced their respective agendas? With an inmate population of 2,094,000, the U.S. holds 20 percent of all prisoners worldwide, though the general population of the U.S. accounts for just 4.25 percent of world population. While prison authorities tend to defend solitary confinement as an effective means of maintaining order, many prisoner advocacies condemn it as torture and therefore a violation of human rights.
