Abstract
These poems form the record of a dramatized spiritual search, a journey that moves through a variety of landscapes, both physical and metaphysical: from the streets of India to small American farms, from the myriad facets of personal loss to the deep rift between our selves and our own bodies. Rather than seeking to flee or conquer, the speaker’s aim is to surrender utterly by enacting a willing vulnerability to these painful, wonderful, and confusing places.
