Abstract:
Determining the importance of spatial interactions in ecological systems has been a central question for a number of researchers. However, despite a growing body of literature examining the role of space in ecological and evolutionary systems, surprisingly little of this has focused on the role of spatial interactions in host-pathogen systems. This dissertation explores in detail the role that spatial interactions have on a system involving a sterilizing pathogen and its host.
