Abstract

This study will examine the doctrine of the Mahdiism in Twelver Shī<sup>c</sup>ism as it has been presented in the two works. It will not, except in a very few cases, directly quote from the primary sources on the issue. Its scope is thus limited to the comparison of the Mahdi idea in the two presentations.
