Abstract
The following STS research paper and technical paper discuss the current state of the software development industry and are tightly coupled. The STS research paper explores external factors, such as social, economic, and technological factors that impact the future of software development and the effects on workers. It details how the current growth of technology negatively impacts workers in the technology industry and ways to resolve this problem. On the other hand, the technical paper discusses a personal experience during an internship in software development and describes personal success along with advice for others.
