Abstract
The present problem was begun with the hope of obtaining new type compounds for morphine derivatives in better yield, finding a more satisfactory separation for the mixture of reaction products, and determining the structure of the compounds formed. The investigation has provided a new approach to the problem of asymmentry at the 14 position in the morphine series.
