Abstract:

A study of the grammar and dialect (vowel changes) of the "Early South-English Legendary" and of the certain peculiarities of this manuscript. This is not a complete study of the lives in the manuscript. This is an intensive study of every word in a selected passage of 500 lines of the manuscript covering the following stories: "St. Mathew", "St. Leger", "St. Fey", "St. Endlevene ├×ousend of Virgines", and eight lines of "St. Katerine".
