In the technical capstone project, the discussion leads to the problem of students within UVA not accessing all available resources the Library provides. This problem was addressed by I and a group of six other people by creating a chrome extension where students can search for resources online and if that resource is available in the Library the resources will be shown to the students as a popup.
While, the research will focus on the effect of implementing AI in cybersecurity for human content moderators that work on social media companies and organizations in general. The question for cybersecurity agents remains will replace their jobs and how much of the security policy will an automated technology overlook. For moderators, what will be the impact of implementing an AI in social media for security purposes. For organizations, the question is, how effective will AI be compared to current security measures and will it prevent future cyber-attacks. I will be using the actor-network theory to understand what the impact of implementing AI in cybersecurity will have on these stakeholders. This theory will show the connection between the actants and how that connection will change because of AI. The overall idea is, how will the implementation of AI in cybersecurity affect human moderators in organizations and social media?
This research includes case studies that looks at the cases of discrimination against human moderators within organization and social media. The research also includes case studies about AI being delegated as the security task force to replace humans. The research will answer the question of whether AI will have negative effect or positive impact on human moderators.
