Abstract
An analysis of the low temperature, high resolution electronic absorption and magnetic circular dichroism spectra of d-d transitions in OsF 2-6 and IrF 2-6 (specifically, Os4+ and Ir 4+ doped into the cubic host Cs2 GeF6) is presented, and ligand field parameters are determined.
