Abstract:
The first section of this paper includes extensive detail on the development of a self-driving vehicle. Then, the thesis paper considers possible unintended consequences that the widespread adoption of autonomous vehicles may have on society through a technopolitical framework. The goal of this research was to determine negative consequences which engineers could avoid as they develop these cars. Hopefully, it also provides goals and priorities for the development of this technology.
